Strategic Planning
And Programming

There are three types of cabinets: partial overlay, full overlay, and inset. Each term is used to describe how the cabinet door or drawer sits on or in the cabinet frame. The three types of cabinets also represent different budgets and styles.

Concept Development

There are two types of cabinetry styles: face framed and frameless. In the past, most cabinets were constructed with a face-

framed approach but both applications now offer endless styles and design.

Construction Documentation

The vast majority of kitchen cabinets fall into one of two main design categories: framed and frameless.

Framing ultimately determines both the look of the final product and its accessibility.

Design Development

It’s made up of thin wood “plies” or layers of wood that are glued together in a sandwich form. Usually the plies are oriented

with their grain direction at varying angles with respect to each other to give the board or panel more rigidity and stability
